Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) refers to a system of school- based evaluation of students that covers all aspects of student development.

The term refers to application of variety of tools and techniques both testing and non-testing and aims at assessing a learner's development in the area of learning like:

  • Knowledge.
  • Understanding / Comprehension.
  • Applying.
  • Analyzing.
  • Evaluation.
  • Creating.

Objective of CCE

  • To help develop cognitive, psychomotor and affective skills.
  • To lay emphasis on thought process and de - emphasis memories.
  • To make evaluation an integral part of teaching - learning process.
  • To use evaluation for improvement of students achievement & learning process.
  • To use evaluation for improvement of student's achievements and teaching - learning strategies on the basis of regular diagnosis followed by remedial instruction.
  • To use evaluation as a quality control devise to maintain desired standard of performance.
  • To determine social utility, desirability or effectiveness of a program and take appropriate decisions about the learner, the process of learning and the learning environment.
  • To make the process of teaching a learning a learner - centered activity.

Course of Action

The child is evaluated on a daily basis for his academic, non - academic & his social - emotional strengths. Apart from everyday evaluation to strengthen the child's retention in the subject Unit test & Terminal exams are also conducted.

The language labs are provided to strengthen the child's command over language. Teachers during the session make sure that each child remembers, understands and applies what he/she has acquired in the classroom. Teachers analyze, evaluate and create opportunities for the child to apply what they have learnt in classroom.
